OPT-OUT

PRIME prides itself on offering cleaner, greener energy at a more affordable rate than Southern California Edison.

However, if you would like to opt-out of PRIME and remain with Southern California Edison, you may do so quickly and easily.

If you started service within the last 60 days

Customers who opt-out of PRIME within the first 60 days of service may return to Southern California Edison (SCE) on your next meter read date following five business days from your request. Customers who opt-out of PRIME within 60 days of starting service are eligible to return to PRIME at any time. Enter your information to opt-out:

Customers who decide to enroll with PRIME after the first 60 days can do so by calling customer service at 1-800-GO-PRIME and following the steps in the recording or speaking to a customer representative.

If you started service over 60 days ago

If you request to opt out of PRIME service after 60 days of service, SCE will prohibit you from returning to PRIME for one year. In addition, SCE provides two options for customers who wish to return to SCE after the first 60 days of service:

Option 1

A customer may request to return to SCE by providing 6 months advance notice. The customer will continue to receive energy from PRIME for 6 months, after which time they will return to SCE. SCE will apply their standard rates upon the customer’s return.  Please complete the form above to elect the 6 month advance notice option, or call customer service at 1-800-GO-PRIME.

Option 2

A customer may request to return to SCE immediately, but will be subject to SCE’s Transitional Bundled Commodity Cost (TBCC) rate program for 6 months instead of SCE’s traditional rates. SCE’s TBCC rate is transitional and varies from month to month.  If you wish to return to SCE immediately on SCE’s TBCC rate, please call customer service at 1-800-GO-PRIME and follow the recorded prompts or speak with a customer representative.  There is a five business day window for processing requests, and your account will transfer at its next regularly scheduled meter read date.

To Return to Pico Rivera Innovate Municipal Energy

Customers who have opted out but wish to return to PRIME service may call 1 800 GO-PRIME. If you opted out within the first 60 days of service with PRIME, you may return at any time. If you opted out after 60 days of service, you will be prohibited by Southern California Edison from returning to PRIME for one year. Residential customers may return to PRIME at their next meter read date following five days from their request. Per SCE’s Rule 23, non-residential customers must remain with SCE for six months following their request.
